Our technicians are trained to move safely across roof framing and correctly identify soffit, ridge, and exhaust-fan issues that standard mold crews often miss.
We built this as its own specialty because attic work brings different hazards and different root causes than living-space mold.
Four reasons Brutus property owners trust us with this specific job.
Our Brutus techs are trained to move safely across roof framing without damaging insulation or ceiling drywall below. We check attic insulation R-value while we're already up there assessing the mold.
We check soffit intake, ridge exhaust, and any bath or kitchen fans venting into the space. Our Brutus roof-access gear meets standard safety protocol for working above living space.
Insulation with active mold contamination typically can't be cleaned and gets removed and replaced. We check attic insulation R-value while we're already up there assessing the mold.
When roof access allows it, much of an attic job can be done without disturbing your living space below. Our Brutus roof-access gear meets standard safety protocol for working above living space.
Every Brutus job gets scoped to the specific problem, not a generic checklist.
We test the treated sheathing afterward to confirm the surface came back to normal.
Blocked soffit vents or missing ridge ventilation disrupt the airflow that's supposed to keep an attic dry.
A shockingly common Brutus culprit: bathroom exhaust fans venting directly into the attic instead of outside through the roof or wall.
Insulation touching an actively moldy roof deck gets bagged and removed rather than treated in place.
Every treated surface gets HEPA-vacuumed to remove loose spore material before any sealant or coating is applied.
This final check is what separates a real fix from a Brutus job that looks good for six months and then doesn't.

The questions we hear most about attic mold.
Most attic mold in Brutus properties traces back to poor ventilation or an interior exhaust fan venting into the attic, not a roof leak.
We'll show you exactly which sections need replacement before doing any of it.
Some Brutus attics only have an interior hatch, in which case we'll take care to protect flooring and furnishings along the path.
Jobs requiring insulation replacement can run a day or two longer.
Yes, especially if there are gaps around the attic hatch, recessed lighting, or ductwork that allow air exchange.
